Engineering

Engineering is a dynamic and expanding sector with growing opportunities for internships. CRCC Asia’s engineering placements are primarily available in the Kansai region, a top destination for technical roles, but we occasionally offer positions in other cities such as Tokyo, Ho Chi Minh, and Seoul. Please note that roles outside the Kansai region may be less technical in nature.

Interns should be prepared to commit to a minimum of two months to qualify for technical roles or positions within engineering firms. While specific tasks can vary greatly depending on the placement, interns are often involved in both technical and non-technical tasks within engineering companies.

Note that placements in civil and aerospace engineering are extremely limited.

Ideal Candidates

– Candidates should have completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework in a relevant engineering field.
– A portfolio or hands-on experience with projects related to their field of study is expected.
– Familiarity with industry-standard software tools such as Matlab, C++, Java, AutoCAD, Python, and JavaScript is required.
– Experience with practical applications in robotics or related areas like ROS, SLAM, LIDAR, 3D cameras, motion planning, control theory, dynamics, human-robot interaction, exoskeletons, compliant actuators, or haptics is highly desirable.
– While language proficiency is advantageous, it is not a requirement.
– A commitment of at least 2-3 months is preferred.

Typical Responsibilities

"I found this internship and trip to China very beneficial, both personally and also for experiencing working in an international company. I was able to make some great worldwide contacts while over there. Honestly, life took a bit of getting used to when I got home because it is a stark contrast to how life was in China, but that’s what made China so great. For me the internship I had in China was definitely worth it!"
