Embark on an 11-day carbon-neutral sustainability adventure in Thailand, where you’ll explore the intersection of urban innovation and rural wisdom through a variety of hands-on experiences. This program is rooted in Thailand’s Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and directly aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). You’ll gain practical knowledge on how local communities and cities are driving initiatives towards sustainability, all while participating in efforts to offset your carbon footprint and support eco-friendly practices.
Throughout the program, you’ll engage in activities such as learning the techniques of using local materials to create sustainable products, organic pomelo farming, and contributing to no-carbon village projects through hands-on efforts like planting mangrove trees. Urban sustainability initiatives, including a visit to a vertical farming company, will showcase Bangkok’s innovative approaches to sustainable food production and reducing its environmental footprint. Additionally, cultural immersion activities—like visiting floating markets, exploring the famous folding umbrella train market, and learning basic Thai massage techniques—will offer a rich perspective on Thailand’s traditions and modern sustainability efforts.
By participating in community-based eco-tourism projects, visiting royal Thai sustainability initiatives, and exploring urban resilience solutions, you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of sustainable development from both urban and rural perspectives. As part of the program’s commitment to sustainability, all activities are designed to minimize environmental impact, making it a carbon-neutral experience for participants.
